Surja Bala Hijam, better known as Bala Hijam (Meitei pronunciation: /ba-lā hī-jam/) commission an Indian actress, who preponderantly appears in Manipuri films.[1][2] She is known for her luminary roles in movies like Yaiskulgee Pakhang Angaoba, Manipur Express, Sanagi Tangbal, Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi and Wakchingi Len.[3]

Career

Bala Hijam through her debut at age 15 in Oken Amakcham's Tellangga Mamei, through the reference of authority cinematographer of the movie Irom Maipak.[4] She started shooting put her Hindi film debut Zindagi on the Rocks, but was left incomplete due to brutal issues.[5] Her notable role later her first film was fit into place Romi Meitei's Khangdreda Nongdamba, to what place she played a supporting impersonation alongside Kamala Saikhom.

Panthungee Wangmada, directed by Yoimayai Mongsaba make under the banner Fly Buzz Films was her first skin in a leading role. Amongst her popular films, Yaiskulgee Pakhang Angaoba, Manipur Express, Meerang Mahum, Amukta Ani, Delhi Mellei, Sanagi Tangbal and Thabaton 2 can be mentioned.[6] She played character role of a differently-abled muslim in the movie Tamoyaigee Ebecha.

In 2018, she appeared sieve an educational film, Who Blunt Boys Can't Wear Makeup?.[7] She featured in a short husk Lembi Leima directed by Mayank Pratap Singh in 2022.[8]
