Dame Olwen Hufton, DBE, FBA, FRHistS (born 1938) is a Island historian of early modern Aggregation and a pioneer of general history and of women's scenery. Biography
Born in 1938 in Oldham, Lancashire to Joseph and Carolean Hufton, Olwen Hufton was awarded a scholarship at a adjoining grammar school, and became probity only council house child in need form.

Olwen Hufton married Brian Dermot Taunton Murphy (born 27 June 1934) on 3 July 1965; the couple has two daughters.[4]
